Bay Meadows Scores 68

July 29, 2008 by Vicki Moore

The new website WalkScore.com rates the walkability of America’s neighborhoods.  With the price of gas and global warming awareness, this site has a timely release.

Not only can you rate your neighborhood – Bay Meadows receives a 68 out of 100 – you can locate your new home based on its walkability factor.  They currently rate over 2500 neighborhoods in 40 cities, with more to come.

Check out the most walkable neighborhoods with San Francisco taking the lead at number one.

Feed Your What?

July 11, 2008 by Vicki Moore

If you’ve seen our most recent delivery to your doorstep, you’ve read Feed Your Reader.  In case you’re wondering what the heck we’re talking about, here goes:

Every notification used to be announced via email:  “Here’s my newsletter,” or “Ginsu knife special inside.”  Instead of bombarding email boxes, some genius came up with the RSS Feed.  And instead of trying to remember what that great blog about Bay Meadows was, you can subscribe to the feed which will display new posts whenever they become available.

Here’s a clip of my reader so you can get a visual on what I mean.  The bold entries indicate there’s new information there for you to read.

If you use Internet Explorer, go to Bay Meadows Living, find the Feed Your Reader - click on the orange button.  You’ll then see:

Click it and you’re done.  To find them again, go back to your favorites and there’s that little orange button again.  Click it and there’s your feeds.

Hope to see you back again soon.  All the best,

Your Bay Meadows Living Specialists.

San Mateo Police Station’s Progress

June 25, 2008 by Vicki Moore

If driving by the police station every day isn’t enough, you can check out the progress via the live web cam.  According to the City of San Mateo’s website they expect the project to be “substantially” completed this November, with a move-in date of Spring 2009.  But since the Current Status is January of 2008, I wonder how close they are to those dates.

No matter the move-in date, it’ll be an incredible improvement over the current out-dated station on Delaware.
